Disk drive sterppers

At long last I made a diskdrive stepper motor click round using stepster as
suggested by Arnie Jorgensen. For those interested the minimum connections
seem to be: the step wire to edge connector 20 with a 1k resistor to 5v
supply, the direction wire to edge connector 18 also with a 1k to 5v supply
and edge connector 10 grounded, I poked it in the power connector ground as
it didnt work for me using a screw on the chassis. I had a disk in the drive
but didnt think to check if it works without, it didnt rotate with these
connections anyway. Without the pullup resitors the voltage from the printer
port looked ok.......until you connect it to the disk drive! The 1k value is
just what I had and thought would work (not critical), I may try to buffer
the outputs from the drives electronics so I can connect a bigger stepper
but I will sort out 3 "axis" first. I hope some of you have some fun with
this or perhaps a safe software test rig.
