Right. I agree. I'd rather have this under my control than have some
preset threshold built into the software that would decide which moves
were "contouring" and which were "positioning". I have a few things
that are affected by the inappropriate use of the contouring, and so
I turn it off for those specific cases. I also drive a stick-shift car,
as the old, pre-computer transmissions drove me nuts with inappropriate
shifting on hills, etc. I'll decide what gear is the right one.
