Homemade toolpost Grinder ( info seeking )

Hi,
I've been thinking of making a homemade toolpost grinder, and I had
some questions for the learned masses here.
1) What is a good grinding wheel type for this? I've found the term
friable disk, meaning that it can be dressed?
2) Would a silicon carbide disk be a good type?
3) Does anyone have a copy of the article on this they are
willing to share :)
4) Harbor Freight has a mini-grinder that looks like it may be useful
if fitted with a different wheel model43533 (www.harborfreight.com)
Awhile back I purchased some 40 taper tooling for my mill, but now
that I have a chance to try them out, I'm finding that some the
flanges are of varying widths or non-existant on the larger holders.
I have a Quickchange spindle that is not hollow (Bridgeport series II
CNC circa 1978), so the drawbar that would save me, can't be used.
I'm bummed as all they had to do was make the spindle accept an
optional drawbar and it would have been alot more versatile.
Well the meaning of this saga is to attempt to machine or grind the
flanges into these 'hardened'( this is the rub) holders that have
more than enough material to do this.
Thanks,
Lee
