we got one of the early omniturn retrofit kits back in 94 or 95
(386-33 mainboard ,upgraded it to a "new" 486-50 a couple years back)
as a 'turn key' system ,with the motion card ,servo drivers and servo power
supply all built in to the same case as the motherboard and CRT
pretty much all of the motion control stuff is proprietary
(probably something similar to the GT Jr.)
as a customer we haven't had any real problems with the service & support
from omniturn and so far the machine has held up fairly well
