I personally have no experience with MaxNC. The feedback I have read on the
list and was given directly when I was considering it is not very positive.
In addition to less than the reputation for the products and support the
particular package you are considering is aimed more at a Sherline sized
machine and is very small for your machine. If you want to go with a servo
setup I would consider going with Gecko G320/G340 drives and then CNCPro,
TurboNC, or EMC as the driver software. I am using G320s with EMC on
Bridgett a full sized Bridgeport series II machine and they have plenty of
power. I know of others using these drives on a Sherline. They are very
versital and very reasonably priced.
