Turk,

I enjoyed your statement and agree with it.

I would imagine that when individuals were developing and deciding just what was
the best way to dispense AC current inside of a house thru an "outlet", they
must have really struggled. They came up with what we have and wouldn't you
know, It is incredibly dangerous ! Watch your 3-4 year old do it a few times !

I can not imagine that the safety cops would allow this open 3 prong technique
if it was invented today. In fact, I am more than suprised that we have not been
forced to go thru a multi-billion dollar switchover from house to house
replaceing the 3 prong outlet. Yet, we get along with it just fine, IF we use
our head and watch our kids.

Think back to when two "nutcases" were hanging Wings on a bicycle in their back
shop. Glad nobody scared them off......

Or the team of men and those that piloted the early versions of Ejection Seats.
(see that on Discovery ? Way cool.) Saved quite a few individuals over the last
years.......

Or the fellows who wanted to build a machine that cuts with a stream of water
under high pressure..........

My guess is if we always avoid anything that's dangerous, we would still be
pumping water by hand.

We just need to use our heads, or suffer the consequences.

Ray, No argument with being safe really, It might be that in a few years it
could be Turk who develops and sells a 7/8" capable plasma machine and puts it
on the market for $495 !! Ya never know..... So, be careful plugging in that New
Plasma Cutter. :-)
