RE: plasma cutter

I have been following the discussion re: x/y mechanism for plasma
cutter table. Mention was made about TorchMate. Their rack and
pinion drive mechanism appears to be straight forward. The unit uses
cold rolled steel 1 inch square bar as x axis track (sitting on 2
inch
square 1/8 inch steel stock). 3/4 by 2-3 inch cold rolled steel
bar as track for y axis. Cam followes are use to roll around on and
keep the unit tight against the cold rolled steel bars. The unit
gets
very good resolution! I would like to find a good source for the
rack
(gear track), everything else is readily available. rfs.
