According to the Mitutoyo spec (in the mail to you today), the smallest
connector is a 5 pin. There are also 6 and 10 pin connectors, but no 4 pin.

I hope the spec provides some insight - although it looks like your scale
doesn't follow the Mitutoyo standard.
