I'll leave James to answer your main questions, he seems to have a
good grasp of what is a very important, but sadly overlooked subject
for a lot of people.
have noticed that when you enter your feedrate, it displays the
equivelant feed/rev in the adjacent box. You can also enter a value
into this box, and it will calculate the feedrate for you, based on
the entered rpm.
Don't forget that if you are using say, a 3 flute end mill, and a
feed per flute of 0.003", the value you would enter would be 0.009"
(3 x 0.003")
