The chip size is probably available in various handbooks. The number I
placed in the cell was kind of the average of the range provided by the
manual with my Taig CNC (for example, 0.006" was used since the range was
0.004-0.010"). Certainly not the best method, but it made my cuts look much
better (and MUCH faster).
SFM is indeed Surface Feet / Minute - again taken from manual, although I'm
sure you can find it in different sources as well as inches per tooth.
The calculated feed rate is in Inches Per Minute.
Note that all cells are free to be changed, so if you like to take on larger
or smaller chip loads, you can make the change to one cell to customize to
your liking.
