Re: max step frequency in EMC?

I'm running Gecko Servo drives. I'm stepping at 20480 steps a sec. I'm
using a 500 mhz processor. I have 128 mem on board. Because my ini
file was set to 64 meg I had problems with very slow mouse pointer
movement. After changing this in the ini file ,.. no problems. Keep in
mind that what you may lose in top speed you will gain with EMC 's
trajectory planning ( constant contouring ). With the type of work I'm
doing a very high pulse rate "stop and go" dos program loses the speed
race with EMC !

The short of it is, it depends on your hardware and what type of
milling you doing. Try it ,.. help with it is here !
