Jack, Dave, List,
In many cases "hardware store" grade steel is NOT a good choice for
fixtures/clamps and jig tooling. Be sure you know that you are not
expecting inexpenbsive steel (or poor quality threads) to do the duty
of more expensive stuff when holding stock to be machined. Your
safety is at stake!!!
