usb, ethernet, parallel ports, firewire, etc

i posted three times in the past concerning usb and firewire.

summary.

usb 1.0 is asynchronous only.
usb 2.0 i do not know enough about usb version 2.0 is comment.
ethernet is strictly statistical.

firewire is either isochronous and asynchronous.
isochronous is what is needed for cnc end edm.

usb is alright for keyboard and mouse
usb external hard drives, cd-r/cd-rw, etc are pushing it in my
electrical engineering opinion.
