As far as the power supply connector goes, I would NOT recommend a
circular Wall-wart connector.
1. There are too many different ones, ( 3 common barrel diameters and 4
common tip diameters ).
2. They are fragile.
3. They are too easily removed/displaced, even through vibration.
4. They are rarely secured to the PCB by anything other than solder, a
big no-no in my mind.
Why not just a different sex DE-9 ?
