I know what you guys mean here, but consider this: When you have a local
distributor, and assuming it's an, "in stock", item, you can go over and fondle
it, and ask, "Say, you got one of these that has feature(X)?" If not, you can
at least check out the possibility of something that might be modifyable. The
alternative is to buy something that might wind up not being suitable at all.
No catalog lists every feature, there isn't evough room, even over the web.
