Short of getting a real buy at ebay or yahoo auction site, the best dro for
the money is likely to come from ENCO. I think their website is
useenco.com
(maybe you'll hafta do a search on the keyword enco )
I think their phone # is also like 1-800-USE-ENCO
I've had a 2-axis unit (their lowest price one) on my ENCO 9 x 42 Mill for
about 10 years, now. There's also a very inexpensive unit made (in
Canada), by I think, ShootingStar (see their ad in recent issues of Home
Shop Machinist, Live Steam, Projects in Metals (I fergit the "new" name of
the mag). Anyways, for "only" about $600 ($750 for 3-axis), it is
reasonably accurate. ...Place I used to work at had a plate-roll that'd do
3/8" x 96" wide, and I retrofitted the 4 end-roll points w/ the short axis
units. Works very well. (I ordered a third unit for myself, & traded my
short axis for their long one, intending to make an adjustable backgage
readout for my bending brake (VERSON 110 ton, #7 ga x 120"). Ain't got it
done yet, though.

Best regards, RayHex
