But there are really loads of these manufacturers. On top of that,
touchscreen monitors/LCD's and overlay's for your own monitor are
abundant on the used market and reasonable. They are mostly used for
Point of Sale (POS) applications so when a resturaunt goes under, or
some other similar type of business, the compters (and touchscreens)
end up on the market...cheap. Actually they can be quite robust since
they by nature are designed for millions of keystroke by people
working in kitchens or other industrial enviroments.
Not everyone may want touchscreen control over their CNC, but it
would seem from a developer's and user's standpoint, that the
benefits of a GUI designed to be touchscreen compatible may also
cross over to being beneficial for mouse use as well.
