Fred & Dave,
Have to correct you there gents. In fairness to PTC Software, once you have
the code and have it safely written down with all the other codes you have
that is the end of it. I have installed it on my laptop, (designing Live
Steam boilers at 36,000 ft) and also on my home PC using the same code in
both cases.
This was over a month ago and the only communication I have received from
the software manufacturer since was a invitation to participate in a free
on-line training presentation for this software last week. I did stay on
for most of it but seeing as how there is 16 hours time difference between
the vendor in the US and me in Western Australia, didn't quite make it to
the end :o))

my memory is a bit fuzzy on this (it was awhile ago) but i seem to remember
having to get a registration code every time i load the software. now with
windows... that can be every two weeks! if the company were to go out of
bussiness, i would be out of luck.---Dave

Can you explain that a little more Dave? I am concerned that you
noticed something that I might have missed. The only thing that stuck
in my mind was restrictions to exporting to certain countries on the
USA bad boy list.
