OH OH! I can't say for sure, but I have seen a lot of trouble with the
parallel
port on the thinkpad series. We have several at work, and have some
custom and commercial devices that are run through a parallel port,
and have had a LOT of trouble making them work. It may have more to
do with the weird BIOS setup program than the port itself. So, it may
work fine under Linux and EMC, but you may have trouble with it.
