Hello Vajk,
1/2 round guide is even for a PC board mill pretty weak.
PE, UHMW, teflon and bronce are comon materials. But for certain
aplications they might always become too sticky.
So a good idea might be to use linear bearings or mount ball bearings on
the carriage. as you see on many soft running machines. In the last case
you find often steel band stripes to protect the ways from wear and you
simply change them frequently.
