Hi all
Sorry to trouble you but I am trying to get a tool path from a DXL file
and I don't quite know how to get where I'm going.
I started with a JPG file.
Converted the JPG to a DFX file.
Brought the DFX file into Vector (9.0) and produced a TAP tool path.
Then ran the TAP file through my Anilam G code to conversational
converter and this is a short segment of the total path:
Rapid X 4.1180 Y 8.2640 Z 0.0000
Line X 4.1320
Rapid X 4.1750
Line X 4.2030
Rapid X 3.9620 Y 8.2220
Line X 3.9760
Rapid X 4.4450
Line X 4.4590
Rapid X 4.5160
Line X 4.5300
Rapid X 3.7200 Y 8.2080
Line X 3.7490
Rapid X 3.8480
Line X 3.9050
Rapid X 3.9620
Line X 3.9900
Rapid X 4.3030
Line X 4.3170
Rapid X 4.3590
Line X 4.3880
Rapid X 4.4450
Line X 4.4590
Rapid X 4.5160
Line X 4.5300
Rapid X 5.7230
Line X 5.7370
Rapid X 3.7200 Y 8.1930
Line X 3.8060
The code seems to be mimicking the job all right but I have to some how
get the Z axis commands into the code so that the engraving cutter will
lift at the start of each rapid and again lower at the end of each.
I have probably just overlooked doing something in Vector but at this
point I am stumped.
Any suggestions would be appreciated at this point.
