Hello all, After considering all feedback on this issue, I decided to weigh all aspects of using this device. First, the plus aspects of electrocution:
never having to shave or trim toenails
no need for expensive shock therapy treatments or heart
defibrillation.
no more of those pesky AA's
no need for expensive shop lighting
and lastly, no income tax
On a more serious note, I want to thank Jon,Mariss,Stan, and Gary for showing me the error of my ways. I will retire said variac from motor control, use a large mainframe power supply , and use the variac for element control in
my heat treating oven.
This is a good example of how input from a group like this
can prevent a person from making otherwise potential lethal mistakes!
