Mike,
To get started in the morning the choices are: a good jolt from a
variac or a cup of coffee:
Variac:
(1) The electric sevice meter wheel is not rated for 10,000 RPM
(2) Neighbors hate the blood-curdling screams.
(3) It's all heck to comb frizzed hair out straight again.
(4) Arc lighting is injurious to your eyes, (too much UV).
(5) Saying "where am I?" 10 times in a row irritates the spouse.
(6) Smoking hair irritates the spouse. It smells bad.
(7) A blackend face is not an attractive tattoo.
(8) There are easier ways to learn how to dance.
(9) Your pain threshold does NOT increase with each repetition.
I prefer coffee.
