Sounds like you've got quite a job turning these mill drills into quality
tools.
I have to wonder though...is this the best platform out there from which to
begin?
I'd have thought that with all the problems you describe, it'd be almost
better to start from scratch.
There's a 3/4 Bridgeport sized kneemill out there that I've waxed eloquently
on in the past.
Are you familiar with it?
I've often thought it would make a decent CNC kneemill because it has a bit
of capacity, but the knee is still reasonably lightweight.
It's Taiwanese iron, but the one I had was well-made.
