I picked up a "finger" mouse this weekend at a hamfest. It works great with
a laptop as you
don't need a surface to set it on to use it. The thing has a hole in its
side that you put your
forefinger thru and run a trackball or click the buttons with your
thumb. There is also a
button inside the finger hole which can be used like a trigger. Actually,
if you put your
middle finger thru the hole you even type on the keyboard with your forefinger.
It occurred to me this mouse might be handy in the shop on a pc controlled cnc.

There are a bunch for sale on ebay in $12 to $20 range.
( I gotta buy another one as my sweet wife took it away from me to use on
her laptop).
