machines, even the homebrew ones. Think of it more like a club show
where a few fellows bring in their systems to show and talk about.
Remember the whole CNC area is just 5 TABLES about 30"x80" each. We are
not talking a major trade show here, just a few hackers exchaning
tips/lies/stories etc. There is likely to be only one or two complete
machines there- maybe a couple Sherlines, likely Roland will have one of
his Grizzleys, but most of us cant drag in complete machines.
Not to discourage anyone from attending NAMES, I drive nearly 2000 miles
every year to make it and dont plan to ever miss one. It is a major
annual activity for me, but 98% of the show is NOT CNC , rather general
model engineering.
