Hi Hoyt -

Yup, you did send me a demo. I'd been hoping for a windows-based
g-code interface, and when I heard he had something available, I
bought it right away. It's actually a separate package for $350
that requires I-LPT, but the two combined have comparable
capabilities to Flashcut at a lower price. I will be using my CNC
equipment primarily for work, making prototypes of products I
design. I hope to be able to use 3-axis contouring to build
prototype injection molds, as well as the usual 2-1/2 axis work
for mechanisms and prototype assembly equipment. Many of the
parts I need could be made quicker with my own CNC than it would
take to coordinate with an outside shop, inspect parts, talk on
the phone, pick up parts, etc. I too only have a few hours a week
to work on the CNC, and progress has been pretty slow. But I AM
getting closer, and I'm starting to taste it.

Hiho Carlos, didn't I send you a demo a while back?

Art's stuff is always top-notch, isn't it. I've been thinking
about getting
his update myself. Is the G-code reader part of the Indexer itself
now? I
wondered for a long time why he didn't do that sooner, it seems to
me it
would make much more flexible. What sort of projs are you doing?
This all
figure into your real work? I got lucky enough a while back to
find a real
nice niche and have been plenty busy, too much so myself to spend
enough
time programming. I just get a few hours a week usually, with the
job shop
in basement and the family taking the biggest slice. But anyway I
seldom
use all the stuff I have working in the software right now. HAGO!
