Hi Hoyt -
Yup, you did send me a demo. I'd been hoping for a windows-based
g-code interface, and when I heard he had something available, I
bought it right away. It's actually a separate package for $350
that requires I-LPT, but the two combined have comparable
capabilities to Flashcut at a lower price. I will be using my CNC
equipment primarily for work, making prototypes of products I
design. I hope to be able to use 3-axis contouring to build
prototype injection molds, as well as the usual 2-1/2 axis work
for mechanisms and prototype assembly equipment. Many of the
parts I need could be made quicker with my own CNC than it would
take to coordinate with an outside shop, inspect parts, talk on
the phone, pick up parts, etc. I too only have a few hours a week
to work on the CNC, and progress has been pretty slow. But I AM
getting closer, and I'm starting to taste it.
