Hi guys;

As an example of the resolution/speed problem, lets take an RF signal. Under
the most ideal conditions you need a minimum of 8 modulated carrier cycles for
the modulation to be recognized. That's straight on-off digital signal
modulation, and it requires more for a sine wave type of modulation. If, as
was mentioned in another post, the mouse mechanism works at around 1KHz, then
it's automatically much too slow for any kind of reasonable CAM/CNC work. Now
if there were aome mouse hardware that worked in the several MHz region, you'd
have something, but that's not the case, _yet_ anyway.
