What controller are you using? EMC runs all of the negative limits
to one pin, and all of the positive limits to another pin. If you hit any
limit switch while moving any axis in the negative direction it will
stop all of the axis'. Then they will only move in the positive direction
so you can back the offending axis off the stitch. Same holds true
for the positive limit switch.
All of the homing switches are connected to the same pin, and as
such only one axis can be homed at a time. Once an axis is homed,
the axis will move off the switch so you can home the rest.
