Arne, three phase convertors are very popular with those
that want to run more than 1 motor at a time, and those
needing to run say motors over 5hp. If a convertor is built
with the self starting feature, there should be no line surge
to piss the nieghbors off. I have built a 10hp convertor, self
starting, and it runs the lathe and mill at the same time.
