I have made some progress on getting my servo system running. Thanks
to the suggestions from posters here on my missing tach in the loop
the system is alive and controllable.
Now to taylor a signal for moving this servo as an X-axis in a
continuous cycle left to right against an adjustable limit each
direction. The Y-axis will be moved manually for now at each X-axis
pass and direction reversal. Z-axis will only be brought down
manually after the x,y-axis passes over the entire surface.
This signal could be controlled via relay and R/C timing circuits for
accel/decel. Reliability may be an issue.
Besides PC's and PLC's I am looking for a simple way of driving my
servo amp in a manner that can control ramping, velocity and
direction change all in one step using 1 or 2 micro switches and pots
as user input.
Could I be over looking anything, other options?
TIA,
Doug
