Hi Alex:
Try choosing a different part of the table travel and repeat your
measurements.
If you get better precision at the edges of your work envelope, then your
screws are likely worn out.
Clock the inside of the machine spindle in a couple of places inside the
taper.
That is the ONLY way to ascertain if the taper is worn out.
If the spindle taper checks out OK, you know the toolholders are at fault.
Sounds to me like you are in for a refit...fortunately, there are lots of
Bridgeport parts available, and it shouldn't be too bad.
