Jeff: Of course. But they must be SAME type/size, and preferably even same
"make"! If you connect them in PARALLEL, it will DOUBLE the ampacity.
HOWEVER, if you connect 'em 'BACKWARDS', they will FIGHT, over-heat, and
probably be damaged, or start a fire and burn down your home!

If you can't tell by "wire color" or "terminal markings", use an AC voltmeter
and connect ONE terminal of one transformer to the "same" terminal of the
OTHER transformer. Then, the AC reading between the still-UNconnected
terminals (one on each transformer) should read very low ("zero"). Then,
connect those together, and you have it right. HOWEVER, if this voltage
between those reads about TWICE the secondary voltage (you said 24 VAC
transformers? Then, if it reads about 48 VAC,) do NOT connect these
together! Swap one transformer's secondary around, if you have this second
case.

It is NOT a good idea to try to "parallel" two transformers of different
ampacities, or even of different "makes", even if same specs (because
wire-size may vary, brand to brand!).

OH! The above test to see what to connect to what ASSUMES that the PRIMARY
has numbered terminals, or "wire-colors" that must be matched! Because
wiring the primary "start" of one and the primary "finish" to one AC-in line,
and vice-versa, will result in SAME "polarity swap", and can cause damage,
fire, heat, untoward syntax, etc.!!!
