Hi Jeff,

Yes, you can connect two transformers to double the output amps. You need
to connect them in parallel. The voltage will be the same (24 VAC in this
case). You should take care to use transformers with very similar output
characteristics. If the output impedances are radically different you could
be in for
nasty surprises.

What I always do is use two identical transformers, never had a problem.
