And the best of the best of the best (Sir!) is Belden Infinity, which is
specifically designed for robots and machinery and has a long flex life.
It has more and finer strands per gauge, and nice flexible insulation too.
There are equivalents, but Skycraft Surplus
(http://www.skycraftsurplus.com/wireinventory.htm) has Infinity in many
sizes and conductor numbers at very good prices. The 71xx series is rated
at 9+ million flexes, the 70xx series 4+ million, and the 74xx series 1+
million.
