CNC recommendation request

Hello:

I would like to "graduate" from my small hobbiest CNC machine to
something more industrial. I have looked at the HAAS Toolroom mill
and like what it offers but its size is more than I need or could
easily handle. However if I do not find something closer to my
target it may be what I purchase.

I would like a machine that offers the type of features of the HAAS
machine but in a smaller package. Table travel in the range of 16" X
8" Y and 6" Z would be adequate.

I don't want to go the "retro-fit" path, preferring a VMC type setup.

I would appreciate any and all recommendations that you may have to
offer me.
