That was a really neat machine! Homebrew at its
best. For those who are wondering what this is
about, I apologize as I failed to get a picture
of this machine. It used an ENCO x-y drill table
on the base and a homebrew spindle running up and
down with nylatron bushings on drill rod for the
Z axis. The electronics were from HobbyCNC and
the software being run was Kellyware. Because
the primary use was engraving, the table had
a plate on top with tapped holes on 1" centers
so strap clamps could hold the work pieces down.
This machine was in the machining demo area, not
the CNC area at NAMES.
