Thanks to the fine people on this list and some freeware from Steve
Lindsay, I built one for my mill/drill and lathe and spent less than $200
including an used computer and monitor. Depending on your scrounging
skills, you should be able to do it for much less.

Have a look at my web page to get some idea of the setup and let me know if
I can help.
