works. Even if it DOES work (almost a miracle) it is likely to break down
in the near future. These older controls have a lot of connections in them,
and the connectors eventually wear out from card insertions or just
movement of the box, as well as the steady attack of corrosion.
This is not to spoil your day (or his) but just a warning that that control
is almost certainly living on borrowed time. There ARE a lot of these out
there, and some are still being used, so you may be able to find someone
who can copy the manual for you.
