Gene, I just bought Millwrite 2000. I have had it only a couple days
so I will reserve judgement of its function- but it seems very easy to
use.

Got a dxf of your letters? Since I am practicing with this software
I could try generating some gcode if you send me a file off list.

Or just describe what you want.
