The needle on the indicator usually doesn't even flicker. The maximum it
could ever register is one step, assuming the last step preceeding barely
missed making contact. I haven't done any stats on the data but I'd say
your error would be on average 1/2 step. In my case that's .0001", really
too small for the indicator I'm using to reliably sense. It's probably not
enough to take up the slack in the movement.
