You could check the ones out on ebay. They sell lots and lots and lots of
those monster 1/4 - 15 farad caps for car stereos. They are rated at 24vdc
so if you were to get a couple you could stick them together for a higher
voltage (Lower capacitance but who cares when you're talking farads eh?).
:-) Do searches for farad capacitor, lightning capacitor, bolt
capacitor etc. These go so cheap I really want to buy some even though I
don't have a use other than melting wires with them in my spare time. They
sell for well over a few hundred to boy racers who discover they can't read
through their own dribble well enough to see how to weird it in, so they
sell them for about £20.
