I haven't had much experience with metal engraving, but I had the best
results with a 45 degree cutter (or perhaps it was 90 degree... I'll have to
check). A 0.007" to 0.01" tip should do. I remember noticing that the
aluminum would melt on one edge of the cut at 20,000 rpm. I think it would be
best to run the cutter below 10,000 rpm. I had good results taking 0.1 mm
passes, going very slowly. I went through quite a few bits that day, until I
arrived at the right cutter/depth/speed combination!
