your thoughts on emc g61

i have been trying emc for a couple of days now and would like
to hear from you guys how G61 {exact path } works for you guys.
it seems to me that it runs like G61.1 {exact stop}.i made a simple
program ,4 sided ,3 sides straight and one side curved like an {s}.
the motion was very jerky around the corners and on the {s} part
it would ramp up and down for every line segment.if this is how G61
works well at least i will know.
