32 inch swing and 12 ft centers ? is this for a laser housing ?
maybe you converted mm to feet by mistake ?
Seems if it is a hobby project ( who really cares) that it would be a
short term use or not all the parts need to have full travel ?
seems you could use a slow spin and a grinder/router head and cut the
part. that would allow you to make the thing out of wood and get
enough stability.
Also, you could get a 12 ft section of RR track. you need to buy
that from Amtrac and get a receipt and keep the receipt. It is
illegal to have RR track without proof of ownership.
and, bty, you GOTTA post pictures !!!!
