I am sure everyone has different experiences with this detail, but I have
found that DIFFERENT small pipe-tap fittings (Bimba, Clippard,
hardware-store, auto-supply shop stuff, made in China, etc.) fit to DIFFERENT
depths! So, if you want "perfect", you would have to "hand-fit" every single
piece! I have never had to do more than "one or two at a time", so I can't
say if ten pieces of same "make" bought on same day would "go to same depth",
but I'd not BET on that!
