Your drives are so called M-series, the motors should have yellow
covers. You will need the transformers of course, below is M1 connector
on the servo board, it should go to M6, M8, M10 of Fanuc 0 board.
Signal direction looking from servo side
1 - PRDY1 <- dry contact with prdy2, in, switch on the servo contactor
2 - ENBL1 <- dry enbl2 in, enable power stage
3 - OVL1 -> ovl1, ovl2 output overload
4 - VRDY1 -> vrdy1,2 - out, servo ready, contactor is ON
6 - TSA <- TSA, TSB input, tacho signal
7 - VCMD <- velocity command input, 0..+/-10V
8 - *alm1 > alarm code, binary
9 - *alm2 >
10 - *alm4 >
13 - alm common - gnd for alarms
14 - PDRY2
15 - ENBL2
16 - OVL2
17 - VRDY2
19 - TSB - tacho signal ground
20 - VCMD2 (gnd) velocity command ground
The pulsecoder is 5V, 2500 lines/count. it goes to M7, M9, M11 of Fanuc
0' mother board
M7,M9,M11, as all Fanuc's feedback connector is:
1,2,3 - 0V
4,5,6 - +5V
8 - OverHeat1 (contact switch in the motor)
9 - OverHeat2
14 - Z
15 - *Z
16 - A
17 - *A
18 - B
19 - *B
the round Cannon connector on the motor is MS3102A-20-29P:
pins are letter coded
pin signal
A - A
B - B
C - +5V
D - *A
E - *B
F - Z
G - *Z
H - shield
J, K - +5V
N,P - 0V
Please note, that Fanuc motors have only pulsecoder feedback if the
pulsecoder in incorporated. If the pulsecoder is mounted on the screw,
the motors have tachogenerators. In the first case, Fanuc CNCs are
making the tacho signal TSA,TSB from pulsecoder signals. So it could be
real pain to use Fanuc drives with other control. Here in Bulgaria a
company SEMIS is making 2 axis pulsecoder-tacho boards that can solve
this problem. Can not remember their site, but
tsekov at hotmail dot com or semis at hotmail dot com are the same
people, should reply.
Best regards and success,
