Manual machine with infeed knurling device. Workpiece deflection is the
biggie. Sometimes can't use center to support work. An opposed knurl is
much better, but I don't have one.

I've had bad knurling and good knurling, but it doesn't seem to depend on
the number of passes, at least as long as tooling isn't disengaged. YMMV of
course, it's a tricky bit at best.
