a device that does exactly that.

P.S. It occurs to me that the version of the source may not be the newest
rev. I added a bit of software noise filtering to the err/res inputs. On
some Geckos, the signal on that pin was pretty noisy, while on others, it
was clean as could be. No rhyme or reason I could find for the difference.

So the input doesn't just trigger on the first low going edge, but instead
waits for it to stay low for some number of milliseconds.

Mariss also recommended a small cap to ground ( .1u ? ).

You may wish to try both.
