regarding the 200 or 400 steps per revolution.
If one was to drive a leadscrew directly, the
400 would be half as fast, but would it also
deliver twice the torque ?
would they be the same if one was to use
a 2:1 reduction on the 200 so that each
would spin the screw at the same speed.?
It seems to me that since torque will fall
off as speed increases, the 400 would deliver
more on a direct drive installation.
